Ascension
In Ascension, spiritual elevation is not presented as an escape from the earthly realm, but rather as a metamorphosis occurring through matter itself. The human body ceases to be a rigid container and becomes a living network of light and shadow, rooted in nature and intertwined with the invisible forces of the cosmos.
The dark lines that fragment the figure act as energy channels: they do not imprison, but instead structure the flow of golden light emanating from within. The suspended posture, with the gaze tilted upward and hands outstretched in a gesture of reception, evokes the sacred transit where the earthly (the leaves, the ochre tones of the soil) is sublimated into the divine.
