Il risveglio della grazia
Description of the relationship between the artwork and the Marian dimension, and the spirituality of “Totus Tuus” (Totally Yours), understood as a profound consecration to Mary, expressing total abandonment to the Virgin Mary in order to be led to Jesus Christ.
→ Maximum 800 characters.
This work arises from the certainty that, in order to be reborn, one must first learn to let go of the burden of what we once were. The female figure, dressed in yellow that evokes the strength of the sun and abundance, represents the will of one who leaves behind worldly attachments. The white of her garment marks this passage toward purity, rising above the snail that symbolizes the weight of the material. As she ascends, her black petals fall like faults she no longer needs to carry.
Beside her, the man bows in humility; his chains are half-loosened because true freedom begins when one stops struggling alone. At the center, Mary acts as the bridge of light: with one hand she welcomes us without judgment, and with the other she receives divine Grace in order to pour it out upon us. It is a total abandonment into her maternal hands so that, through her, we may be led toward the eternal.
